Our story
Founded in 2026 to get women outside, together.
Girls Who Paddle SD started in 2026 with a simple idea: San Diego women deserve an easy, welcoming way to get on the water, move their bodies, and make real friends. No cliques, no experience required, no pressure — just show up, paddle, and leave lighter than you came.
Empower women
Confidence on the water spills into everything else. We build it together, one paddle at a time.
Real community
Meet women you'd actually text on a Wednesday. Friendships that live beyond the group chat.
Healthy & fun
Sunshine, saltwater, movement, laughter. Wellness that doesn't feel like a chore.
Meet the founder
Hannah Ohman

Hannah is a San Diego–based attorney turned real estate professional, and the founder of Girls Who Paddle SD. She started the group in 2026 after realizing how hard it was for grown women to make new friends — and how much easier everything gets when you have a community that shows up for you.
Before real estate, Hannah worked as a litigation attorney. That background gave her a sharp eye for detail, a love of clear communication, and a deep sense of advocacy — the same qualities she brings to building this community. She specializes in guiding people through big life transitions (divorce, inherited homes, next chapters), and Girls Who Paddle SD is an extension of the same belief: everyone deserves support, empowerment, and a soft place to land while they figure out what's next.
You'll find her leading most weekly paddles at Mission Bay — usually the first one to welcome a newcomer to the beach.
